Overview
The Payroll Analyst (PA) is a key member of the People Experience Team. This person will be responsible for managing and processing the company’s payroll activities with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with local labor laws. This role involves handling payroll records, generating reports, reviewing payroll data, and coordinating with external payroll consultants to ensure seamless payroll operations.
The PA will ensure that all payroll-related deductions (taxes, benefits, etc.) are accurately calculated and applied. Additionally, they will play a key role in clarifying complex payroll-related matters in a fast-growing and dynamic work environment. The PA will also be the primary point of contact for accounting and legal inquiries related to payroll, including compensation, leave policies, and onboarding/offboarding activities.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing:
Prepare and process monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, tax deductions, and employee benefits.
Manage the entire payroll cycle, including data collection, verification, and input.
Coordinate with HR and department managers to verify employee attendance, time worked, and leave records.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure payroll compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
Generate payroll reports for management and support financial audits related to payroll.
Payroll Policies & Process Management:
Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures.
Ensure payroll processes are documented, efficient, and aligned with best practices.
Employee Support:
Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, resolving discrepancies and clarifying compensation details.
Provide guidance on pay structure, deductions, tax contributions, and benefits.
Payroll System Management:
Maintain and update payroll systems with employee information, salary adjustments, deductions, and bonuses.
Work with external payroll providers to resolve system-related payroll issues.
Benefits Administration:
Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement contributions, and other benefits programs.
Ensure accurate deduction calculations for benefits programs.
Process Improvement:
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Stay informed about updates in payroll regulations and labor laws.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll management.
Experience working with payroll software and HR systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, or similar).
Skills:
Strong knowledge of payroll principles, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Effective English/ Spanish communication skills to interact with employees and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in multi-country payroll processing.
Familiarity with labor laws and compensation structures in Argentina.
