The Work You’ll Do:
The Human Resource Generalist provides HR services and operational support to the Managers and Employees of assigned site. The role handles all aspects of the employee life cycle from onboarding to departure as well as supporting the daily employee relations, benefits, and payroll needs of employees. The Human Resource Generalist reports to the HR Manager.
More specifically you will:
Conduct New Hire Orientation and employee onboarding
Act as primary point of contact for employees in the local office on various cultural, benefits, payroll, and other HR process/programs questions
Conduct entrance and exit interviews and identify trends and possible remedial actions
Support local site recruiting efforts externally and coordinate all internal promotional processes
Administer Leaves of Absence processes with employees
Manage and support internal communications
Support and implement various Human Resource practices and processes
Maintain employee files and paperwork both electronically and physically
Coordinate company events for the local office
Assist with contractors and temporary employees’ contracts, background checks, and onboarding
Facilitate the Summer Internship Program
Provide consultation on employee relations issues and investigations
Help resolve issues in a fair and timely manner to ensure appropriate next steps and outcomes are reached
Partner with global HR team members to support and champion positive employee relations through effective communication, policies, and practices
What We Need From You
2+ years’ experience in Human Resources or similar work preferred
Well-developed business ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion
Ability to build relationships with and influence all levels of employees including leadership level of organization
Very strong interpersonal and written communication skills – ability to initiate and engage in conversations about difficult or sensitive topics
Ability to manage multiple priorities (at times conflicting), remain focused under pressure and work extended hours as required
Advance English skills
